Udaan - A Strategy Summit

Udaan is the annual strategy summit at IES MCRC. Udaan is a platform for exchange of ideas and sharing of valuable insights by the Corporate with the industry and academia as the Speakers and Expert Panels deliberate upon the
Subsets of the main theme. As a relevant initiative in the contemporary times we have decided to include 'Winning strategies in Recession'

This is our seventh year and over the years the UDAAN themes have consistently been on “Strategy” viz. Redefining strategic thinking, response of India Inc. to challenges of the last decade and relevance to the future. Last year the theme was “CSR as a strategic Imperative for Sustainable Development” and this year we present the theme as “winning strategies during recession”

The global economy is slowly emerging out of recession; organizations are facing new challenges and opportunities too. So, we as a part of IES MCRC think that Indian companies have accepted those challenges and exploited the rare opportunities to prove that 'Recession is no time to shut down your own thinking.

In fact, it is time to open it up' and this is been successfully done by adapting winning strategies in the time of Recession. Moreover no single recession strategy fits everyone. So, Indian companies have emerged out as winners by taking initiatives and being a strategic leader, by getting everyone together, by allocating resources optimally, by strengthening the bonds of loyalty , by protecting core assets and the most important by customer satisfaction.

As long as a company responds so brilliantly to the dangers of a downturn it refuses to be a victim of recession and wins! It wins big and stays ahead in the game .

And hence our strategy summit- UDAAN-09 is aiming at calling such leaders and winners to share their strategies and insights in the critical time of Recession.

The summit will be held on the 6th of November, 2009 from 3.30 P.M.- 6.30 PM at Manik Sabhagriha – IES MCRC and will be followed by dinner.
