International School of Business & Media presents the most-awaited supply chain national conference, CHAIN ACT ’09 organised on Novemeber 8, 2009.

ISB&M does not believe in providing only theoretical knowledge to the students, it realizes the importance of industry interaction to keep the students updated with the current and future trends of the industry to ensure production of “ready-to-use” professionals. This interaction ensures the successful exchange of constructive information between the industry and academia.

THEME: Supply Chain Integration- The Future?
Discussion of contemporary and future trends in the industry.

Through this conference, we seek to achieve the following objectives :
•Contemplate the innovative supply chain strategies.
•Analyse designs of integrated supply chain network and customer service in present business environment.
•Design products that amalgamate supplier technologies and customer needs.
•Evaluate new B2B e-commerce standards and Web-based strategies.

Chain Act 2008 was held on November 8, 2008. It was inaugurated by Mr. T. K Banerjee, Executive Director & Strategic Business Head, N K Minda Group. The theme for the seminar was “Crafting a Resilient Supply Chain: Sailing through Turbulence”.

Some of the eminent leaders from the industry were Mr. S R Athawale, Exe Director, ONGC, Mr. Rajiv Patil, GM Operations, Johnson & Johnson, Mr. P R Kothari, Head Supply Chain and Management, L&T, Mr. Prabir Mitra, Sr. GM (IT), Tata Motors.
