Orissa Joint Entrance exam is an entrance exam conducted by Orissa University for the selection of candidates for various under graduate and post graduate courses. Orissa Joint Entrance Examination for B. Tech (OJEE B.Tech Exam) is conducted each year for the admission to the Engineering courses. There are many colleges under Orissa University undertaken their admission through this entrance exam. The B.Tech course offered by the University has duration of four years. This exam provides opportunity for large number of candidates for studying a B.Tech course.
Structure of OJEE B.Tech Exam
The selection of the eligible candidates is on the basis of the written test. The written test is in an objective type format with multiple choice questions. There are 60 questions are there in the test. The time given for completing the test is one hour. The questions are expected from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each correct answer is provided with four marks and one mark is reduced for each incorrect answer. The selection of the candidates is only from the merit list. Those who score good marks in the test will enter in the merit list.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates have to fulfill certain eligibility criteria for getting admission for the B.Tech courses. The candidates who have a Higher Secondary Certificate from any recognized Board. The candidates have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Biology or Chemistry as an optional subject. The general category students should attain 50% marks and other reservation category students have to secure 45% marks. The candidates appearing for their final year exams can also apply for the test.
How to Apply?
The application form can be obtained by the candidates by different methods. The candidates can buy the form from the selected post offices and branches of Syndicate bank and State Bank of India by the cash payment of Rs.550/- The candidates can also put forward their application form through their website www.odishajee.com. They have to pay their fee as Demand Draft and demand draft have to send to the Chairman of OJEE in Bhubaneswar. By sending a letter of request for the form and a demand draft of Rs. 550/- in a self addressed envelope to the University office, the candidates can receive the form by post.

The application form must be handled with proper care. The form should not be fold, tear or wrinkled. All the data filled in the form should be in Block letters using a ball point pen. The candidates’ recent photograph with good quality will be affixed in the place provided for that. The communication address of the candidates should be filled correctly. The form must be filled in English language only. Before sending the forms go through all the information given in the form. The completed form should be sent to the Chairman of Orissa Joint Entrance exam.
