An ongoing process with employers, does not end with wages

Representation:
Election of shop steward, who are full time employees, and represent the interests of union members

Collective Action:
Workers go on strike

Consumer Boycott:
link with community to boycott products of the company

Political Power:
Influence the vote at elections
Lobby government and other state structures

Trade union plays very vital role in providing backbone to the workers who work. They fight for the rights of workers and sometimes eve, able and capable of bringing change in legislation. Here are some advantage of trade unions

Advantages of trade unions:

1. Increase wages for its members.
2. Counterbalance Monopsony Power
3. Represent Workers
4. Productivity deals.
5. Important for Service Sector.
