Remember the 1: 10:100 rule

* This was the advice given by my friend's
father.
My friend's father was running a Fruit Shop
and he used to supply fruits in bulk to star
hotels, big corporate houses and prominent rich citizens.
My friend and I used to go to his shop during
Christmas and Summer holidays to assist him.
He insisted that the supplies should be checked 100%
for quality and neatly packed. He was very strict that
even suspect ones should not be delivered.
He advised us to remember and follow the
1:10: 100 Rule.
If you find out the defect, it will cost you 1.
If you hide and send suspect products, it will cost you 10
to amend the situation.
If customer finds and reports, it will cost your business 100.
* I used to quote this often and faithfully followed this
in my professional life.
