Every jerk is GOD!!

Is it with everybody or i am getting crazy, people today don't respect the word God as it should be.. they call anybody as their God.. For instance Vinod Kamble calling Bachchan and Tendulkar his God's( despite of their extra marital affairs and injuries and shit who knows what else)
So the aim of this thread is to know do u feel it is okay to call a mortal being a God or is it Blasphemous

This reminds me of the our hindi movie sayings that keep repeating "Theres a GOD in all of us"

But yeah, I agree to your perspective.. we give GOD status to everyone who is famous.

I agree tht it is wrong to give a GOD like status to anyone..
although it is also not true tht we give tht status to everyone who is famous,...
but people like sachin and amitabh stand for things like courage ..never giving up..self confidence..self belief..humility..etc..these are the qualities that people find reverent and dont see these in themselves..which is the reason why they hold these celebrities so high...

Ofcourse we know that vikram, thats what being famous means .. standing for something the masses can look up to.

Is it necessary to give that standing GOD like status .. arguable and dependent on perception.. mine is in sync with Mr. rizvi

t oargue on this grave and interesting point it is important to define god!!!...if you define god as sum1 who has supernatural powers then definetely sachin is not good enough to be god though somew of his shots seem to come because of sum super power.....if god is sum1 whom you look upto...sum1 u want to become like then they are gods...attaining mastery in their respective specialised fields and we crAving for the same establishes a god-bhakt relation....think bout it.,..

I completely disagree with you ankith...God is someone having superpowers but one cannot be like God and trying to be like God is in itself defiance of God ..God is not something you can define (We are the creation he is the creator and the creation cannot define the creator).
If someone excels in their field it's well and good but that doesn't make him God and if One wants to be like them then they (excelled) are their Idols not God. IF u wanna hav a God-bhakt realtion go to the Temple,Church or some other Holy place... U don't go and kiss some mortal ass like yours to create such a relation.

Then Such a person should be called as an IDOL Not God

It is not only downright blasphemous but it is condemning oneself to the wrath of God.
