well guys, indian television has been flocked with numerous reality tv shows now. n we all really love watchin it n bet on our favorites. reality tv shows have a huge list... from channel V popstars to d highly popular show Indian Idol. a number of dance, singing and acting competitions and also adventure shows rbeen telecast. the list is huge...

n d recent one.. Big boss...

all these shows have judges and audiences n contestants themselves who vote n choose d winner. well many a times choice of the audience and that of the judges differ... and der r several controversies surrounding these television show. recently mona singh won jhalak dikhlaja title though shveta salve was d judges favorite. moreover the sim card scam involving shweta n manav gohil of nach baliye that was exposed threw light on d means adopted by the contestants. looking at this wat do u think wats rite?? shud there be judges who choose the winner or audience? the basis of chosing the winner may be different... popularity, sympathy votes n also regional biasis....

its thus tough to chose a winner. and after a winner is declared many controversies surround them... whats ur opinion... are reality show judgements fair or unfair?????

hey dpka i think the pattern which is goin on is correct coz if only audience will choose then its over y do we need talanted judjes any only . as audience will choose thier fav .
its correct as judges choose talent n on the other hand audi choose thier fav thats y there r this many controversies surrounding these television show.aotherwise if only audi choose then contestants n judges will feal bad vice ca versa

though i hv voted for.. judges...... i prefer audience....only if the curent votin system is changed...( look at the Mavan shweta Controversy - Nach Baliye 2 contestants..-- buying 200 sim cards and distributin among frnds etc..2 vote as much as they can....ridiculous...)

if the votin system is..like..1 number...max 1-2-5 vote... thn audience..otherwise...judges r the best newayz...at times ego n personal issues do come..but thn...sumthin good ..thn sumthin bad is alwayz thr..

i think judgs r better to hoose a winner coz they have the knowledge of it, whether it dancing, singing or acting competition ...

audience sometimes chooses the contestent who is good in their favourite serials ... and not in the concerned reality show ... (e.g. : gauri & hiten of "nach baliye 2" gets votes on the basis of their popularity in "kyunki...saans"... and not on the basis of their dance)

i think, as compared to judges, audiece don't have much knowledge about it as whom to vote n how to vote, they just become selfish....to give win to their favourite actor or contestent ... judges should choose the winner.......

and if audience will choose in the future ..... as vishal says ..... i think there should be restriction to vote like...
only 1 vote per phone / per mobile ...

that's it !!!
but still, i think judges r better !!!

in my perception its pointless to have audiences vote. Think about this guys. India is an emotional country. For people watchin soaps, the actors are more than just characters they play. they are idolised, worshipped in the minds of millions. SO when a rooplai ganguly cries on big boss, she knows shes playing on inidan peoples' weakness. They will vote out the anybody but her for as long as she appears to be the "tortured-damsel-in-distress"!!
ok so mayb big boss der was no way out then hav audience voting but wot abt others like the dance shows where only the favourites stay on till the end coz they;r recognized as the fav "pati-patni" of the tv industy. case in point-gauri hiten who coudn't dance to save thier lives yet stayed on much after some of the better dancing couples.

well talking about reality tv shows...especially those involving art like dancing, singing..its better if go with the judges decisions as they are the real masters not the audience which usually gets overwhelmed with their emotional feelings...audience vote for the one who is their favourite ...sometimes they even overlook the real skills of the contestants for eg. Mona Singh was fav of most of the audience after her serial Jassi Jaisa koi nahi....n thats the reason Sweta Salve even after performing very well and being judges choice didnt become the winner.
abt the putting restriction like only 1 vote per phone / per mobile ...that can be easily played with just as Shweta & Manav did in Nach Baliye by buying around 200 sims and giving them to their friends to vote for them....
Guys nothing can be done abt this...we sud completely rely on the judges for such decisions..though sometimes judges can be biased but there are few chances of their being biased.

reality tv shows has opened up a big platform for the people who could omly imagine being at top.....i salute the reality shows such as roadies on mtv, sa re ga ma pa on Zee and amul voice of India at star plus...although many exists but the above listed are few i like to watch when i get free...not to forget the antakshari going on for kids...i love to watch small kids singing beautiful....

I think most of the people are on the right track.
Who are judges?--> They are the 1s specialised in that particular feild.Even if a contestant challenges the desicion of the judge ,the judges are capable of showing the contestants where they stand.
If the audience judges,it will lead to a wrong desicion as they lack experience and the decisions willbe based on mere Emotions rather than professionalism.

Yaa .. the Judges should b from the specific field..
For Instance 1 can say that Just celebrity tag is not enough.. there should pe professional judges who r maestro in that field...
Let me Give u 1 Instance..
I used to see Indian Idol.. but lately Got Disappointed..that some time the Judges r form the Acting Background(i don't want to name them)..w aht the Hell they know ant Singing,Scales,Major,Minor,Sharps,Flats,Rhytms,Mod ulation etc...How can they Judge..its simple like make or Brake..
Reality shows r now just Publicity Stunts and Nothing else..
And People r fool to SMS them and Just Give enough of money to Service operators etc...
Reality shows r no good.. and no Harm things.. but just wants to make enough of money by playing sentiments of the people....

c in sa re ga ma recently that mahaud thingi mauli is the judges fav n she has not been singin all that well recently still the othere grl i dont remeber her name was removed .....this is not a fair decison u c
and if u go the c audience they vote just coz they like the person ... they c tatlent also but still they have made wrong decisonz too like kazi fame gurukool ....
so i guess we should have it like 50 50
50% vote of audience should be taken n then 50% of the judges

judgements make no difference i believe. i have girl in my mba class from a reality show, she is totally different than the girl on the show. she didn't win but she don't even care for that, and she says most of them thinks only the fame not winning.....
