I feel the present government has failed on all accounts to combat terrorism across the nation ( PS Note that i m not a hindutva patronage member or so on so forth) but the measures brought in by the government have been very late and should have taken long back....

There are no strong efforts from government to stop terrorist activities in India. The Indian government shou;d and must take some strict actions against who is behind such activity.

Government is like not very much affected inspite of the Mumbai Attacks. Merely Changing the CM as a remediery action is just a show off. All politicians and ministers are brother ie. Shout against each other in public but dine in the same plate at nite. What really can be done is contest election between entrepreneurs of various business and who ever wins should be given charge of the particular minstry. This would not help country to grow but also would provide wings for flying beyond vision....

The Conservative government is following up on its election promises to get tough on crime in india with the introduction of two new bills.

INDIA has never before witnessed such a grossly excessive, malign and toxic role of a media gone berserk in shaping the state response to a major event as it did during the coverage of the Mumbai attacks and their aftermath.

The main features of the coverage stand out unmistakably: hysterically irresponsible reporting on the tragedy, premature disclosures that forewarn the attackers and hamper police action, loutishly strident exhortations to wage war on Pakistan (“E nough is Enough!” being the most sober slogan), and the use of brainless celebrities to promote viciously communal, militaristic and bellicose agendas in place of sober and thoughtful reflection on the sombre developments.

The government is the same with a new face altogether. In order to pacify the people, they put up some or the other act.
If they want to stop terrorism and other anti-social elements, they have to change...
But change is a strange word to them...
If they want to change, they would have to give up their bad habits, do more work, get less money...which they obviously don't want to....
