A PGDM and a MBA - do they have same value in the market?

Many institutes in India award PGDM to management students after completion of the course, either because they do not qualify for a MBA degree or just because the institute does not provide MBA, but PGDM.
What is your opinion? Does a PGDM have the same value as that of a MBA certificate in the current market? Or is MBA rated higher? Why do you think so? Let's discuss!

yes....very mch ....depends on d institute rather than d name of d degree..... evn d iims offer a PGPM degree

MBA and PGDM both are having same value in India, but conditions apply...

If you want to do a PHD, then you need an MBA, you will need to do a lot of work if you want to do PHD after PGDM, that is lot of documents, and that too if you have done from IIM.

Also if you want to go abroad, there you will need an MBA, otherwise diploma will not pe accounted as post graduation...

It totally depends from which instute you are pursuing the course...content wise both courses are same...

well i think.....an mba degree certainly more value after all its a degree and pg corse is just counted as a diploma course

no they dont hav et the same value...pgdm is more usefiul than mba though in most coll it is same

in my view it depends upon college to college
one cannot generalize that whether mms or pgdbm is good
as iims give pgdbm on the other hand fms nmims gives mba degree.
so in my view just look foor good college their brand not the degree they r offering

pgdm and mba are both the same in course wise,for entering in the corporate world students only need the knowledge of their subjects.pgdm and mba are providing the same knowledge.
