Guys,
What all Antivirus Package u use? And which is most effective against Trojans. Most catch Trojans but cannot heal or delete it.
After sometime the Trojan horse raise their heads again once they are in. Just like the terrorists in the country.
No policing Or AV are really that effective and its more of a damage control exercise even after updates..

My friend, firstly, let me tell you that whatever the free antivirus softwares we download and install are meant only for the detection of vruses, not removing them.
To be able to remove the virus and clean your computer effectively, you need to buy the antivirus software - either online or from a computer shop.
I would say, the best antivirus software that blocks not only Trojan Horses, but most of the other deadly viruses that totally shuts down the system, is Quick Heal Plus 2008. With the DNA Scan technology, this software has the capacity to block any kind of present day virus from entering into your system. What's more, when you are running a scan, it does not slow down your system so that you can proceed with the work that you were doing! The price of the package with a license number and a CD is Rs. 1550. Check it out. It really works.
I had tried Norton earlier, but did not like it. It slows down the system to a great extent during the sacn.

But I had used norton, symentac, McAfee, etc in d past....... but it created lots of problems and system gets very slow......so they doesn't allow us to work when scan is going on......... it is not in d case of AVG....... its perfectly alright frnds.........

my dear friend.... best antivirus are Norton and Mcafee... but if you want to go for free antivirus AVG is one of the good option... or there is one more Clamwin, this is very effective and doesnt slow down your system while virus scanning... but only on defect is that it doesnot have feature of firewall.... Solution is download ZoneAlarm or PC Tools firewall and ur done...

In this thread i would like to add,
Best Antivirus is Bitdefender Total Security
but performance also do matter
so to advice up
AVAST is good defender for home
for corporate avast + doctor spyware
and if u have good pc
i mean the performance doesn't slows down even after installing antiviruses
BITDEFENDER is the best!
used in MNC's and genuine PC users

ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE IS VERY ESSENTIAL FOR ANY COMPUTER/LAPTOP. SO I THINK WE SHOULD GO FOR LICENSE VERSION BECAUSE FREE VERSIONS ARE NOT AS EFFECTIVE AS LICENSE VERSION.AND TODAY EVERYDAY NEW VIRUSES HAVE BEEN CREATING SO WHAT TO DO AGAINST VIRUS,WORM,TROJAN,SPY WARE,MAL WARE,AD WARE,ROOT KIT ETC. YOU CAN REFER MY ATTACHED PPT ON "VIRUS" IN BASICS OF COMPUTERS(P.C.) FORUM.

As far as I know I feel that no single anti virus is a full fledged solution to virus. But I would recommend Avast and Kaspersky they are really good one. Even E scan is better one but it deletes even a system file if virus found.
For this, one solution would be to use different anti viruses; as different anti virus has different database. So, if one does not cleans up your system the other one may help.
Note: This does not mean to use 2 or more antiviruses at a time. Do not use more than 1 Anti virus at a single point of time.
Load a updated anti virus, scan ur whole computer, take a experience for a while does it work/ helps healing. Uninstall it.
Install a different updated anti virus and go through the same process.
This process should surely help healing virus as by this process we use strengths of various anti viruses available 'Coz each has its own unique feature.
Try it.:SugarwareZ-191:
