MBA: A Mere Option
So many executives have enjoyed stellar careers without the benefit of a master’s of business administration that its value is clearly overrated. Pro or con?
pro : save your cash
con : many happy returns

Well i dont think its a mere option........a management degree is a must....infact its todays trend in the market. Ofcourse many people didnt had a management degree but still they have achieved heights, but the fact of the matter is Money Rules. A management degree quarantees that atleast you will get a good job with a fair pay for starting.
And its not over-rated at all simply because industry require management graduates for a particular post as he is well equipped to work with his knowledge.
Eg: A due diligence can only be done by a top MBA or/and CA.......no other PG will work that well than this two.
So its not at all a mere option, but a ladder to grow and achieve heights in the future.

You are trying to compare success with MBA.MBA can ensure you a successful career but vice-versa need not be true.Even without MBA you can be successful. But you have to be patient enough and put more efforts to prove yourself. Moreover,MBA grad gains an advantage over others in an organisation.People w/o MBA are heading companies but latent fact is that those ppl would have served the company for atleast 20yrs.In this era of job-hopping,20 yrs is very big time.Ppl want to jump the corporate ladder much faster. For the fast-paced career MBA is must.

I agree with deepak and
it also gives an overview on all the management areans and gives one a broader perspective of thinking when compared 2 a more technical course.

Deepak says right.
Success is won. But an MBA helps to to reach it. But i maintain that Technical expertise is also necessary in order to know what you are managing.

in industries, knowledge is more important than the certificate so there is mba only a mere option.
