Well,Indian IT companies are not sure about their future as their client is not completely out of recession.Hiring has slowed in the IT.Even salary figs have come to some realistic standards, though higher than most other sectors. There will be a cut in the Tech spending in this yr.So most of the job will be offshored. So proportion of onsite ppl will also see a hit.Is it time to look at other prospective sectors than IT?As India is slowly rising its heads on all the sectors like Retail,Infrastructure.Even the salary given by those companies match with that of IT.Is this hibernation in IT good or bad?

Hi,
I would like to believe it is good in a certain sense. Rather than being dependent on one service sector, we should enlarge our pool of alternative sectors. As more and more diversification of jobs, more opportunities for unemployed people from diverse backgrounds. Also India being a land of diversities and rich natural resources, it is better to develop untapped sources of income. IT sector has probably reached its saturation point and is likely to continue like this.
