Buying or Building a house-Which one would you prefer?

Owning a house is always a pride.Ppl earn and save money to buy a house.Recently the value of properties are coming down.After the US mortgage crisis coupled with sky rocketing housing loan interest,ppl are thinking about buying properties.But still the demand for houses have never gone down.Instead of paying exhorbitant rents ppl prefer to stay to own a house.So at this stage which way you want to build your dream home-Buying a dream home or buliding a dream home?

I would say I would purchase my own flat, that gives a pride..

But also keepin in mind, that govt. is charging 4% VAT and 5% service tax, buyin home is next to impossible...

i would prefer to build my own home my way..........

as staying in a rented house is like a burden on your head .............

as its said it gives you pride to stay in your own home...........
