i thnk the was the oinly section whr i could post this...

Friends,

Don't know if this makes any difference, but it's possibly the only way to register your disapproval!

Please give your one minute here to keep our educational structure fair...!!!

Please sign the petition against the proposed reservation for OBCs, if you are against it:

http://www.petitiononline.com/No_Quota/petition.html

This will then be presented to the Hon'ble President of India. A similar petition had also been circulated in the case of Jessica Lall too, which helped in opening of the case once again.

And please pass it on to as many people as possible.

seeing the way the administration and the police have been treating the students who were silently protesting against reservations, the only thing I can say is that their acts are atrocious and condemnable.

Its just another politically motivated gimmick.
Even the recent election campaign which won the elections in Tamil Nadu was a mockery of the democratic process. Promising rice at Rs.2 per kg, which was never going to be economically viable / executable, was clearly a bribe to the poor farmers who had no choice but to hope that the DMK would live up to their unfulfilable promises.

As for the reservation issue, I have already signed the online petition to oppose the same.
The least that I could have done is to forward the link to all of you given in above post.

This thing was put up in the other thread too.... I think the better thing would be to contact the prez and PM directly (as suggested by kartik)

Such sites rarely work... Better to flood their inbox with tonnes of anti-reservation emails.

hi guys,

everyone is talking about reservations... thats all we are doing... JUST TALKING... i have signed the petition but do you guys really think tht this is going to work??? when we were discussing abt this matter... my friend commented why only doctors are on strike abt this matter... is it that this decision is affecting only them??? we need to think about it... think if IIMs are full of OBC's where will open category ppl go???? we also need to do something more than just signing this petition.... i hope someday we can do something better for our own lives instead of just talking and finally accepting the decision and then cribbing abt it....

hope whatever i said makes sense... hope we do something...

PM says the issue is closed but "are we really going to quit fighting for the truth or is the battle going to go on" this is now the million dollar question. What is the next step in this battle. The politicians know that if you implement and then just ignore the people 90 % of the times the movement against that policy will just slowly fade away and the PM seems to be hopeful that the same will happen in this case he is asking us to trust the government(he must be jokeing if we trust them we are all doomed)

Lets not forget one thing that v r fighting for a cause..for values...it;s a fight for our rights.....if PM is thinking on the lines that people will forget this issue..then he must b in folly and making a big mistake...lets join hands and make our presence felt.
Plzz educate people around u regarding this...people r soo indiffrent regarding this issue.....make them aware that how severe it could b...lets do it!!
