WELL I AM STARTING THIS THREAD BECAUSE
GLOBAL OIL PRICES ARE SOARING AT $130 MARK
INDIAN GOVT HAS INCREASED PRICE ADDING FUEL TO THE FIRE OF INFLATION

FIRSTLY I WILL PRAISE USA GOVT ABIT
THEY WERE ALREADY MAKING RESERCH ON ALTERNATIVE FUELS WAY BAK IN 1970S.THEY MADE AN AQUA SPECIES RESEARCH PROGRAM WHICH FOCUSED ON BIOFUELS FROM ALGAE TODAY WHICH STANDS TO BE AS THE MOST PTOMISING SOURCE

BUT THEY STOPPED IN 1996 DUE TO TECHNOLOGICAL PROBLEM WHICH MADE THE PRODUCTION COST OF BIODIESEL 2TIMES THE 1996 US PRICE BUT AT THE PRESENT THE GASOLINE PRICES ARE NEARLY 3TIMES THE 1996 PRICES

they are just hoax. we have to find other nonchemical alternatives to protect our environment..........

Actually, Biofuels are making matters worse, they are eating up agricultural land which would have been used for wheat or rice. We all notice soaring prices of food products. So there is a real need for innovation in fuel sector.

You missed some very important points on the economic problem associated with ethanol not to mention the fact that burning it releases sulfur and causes smog.

if they Want to actually learn more… they suppose to get of the soap box and actually promote something that is useful to mankind and quit the drama and myths.

there has been very little productive work done in this field........so what has been happening on this front..............................
