Well, strictly speaking oil prices affect all markets indirectly. The process works this way:

-Oil prices have a direct effect on gasoline (fuel) prices.
-Gasoline prices affect transportation prices, making basically everything to have higher prices (consequently, generating inflation).
-Inflation makes everyone's spending power to go down.
-Higher gasoline prices also take a part of people's income that in other scenario would be spent on other goods or merchandise.
-People spending goes to basic needs first, and the remaining to non-basic needs (such as consumer electronics) and then to savings.
-When people have savings are more prone to spending on shopping.

Now, the cost of oil (petroleum) affect directly the plastics and products that use plastics directly:

-So, as most consumer electronics products have plastics involved in their production, the rise in the price will make them less affordable.
-If you add this to the indirect effects mentioned before, the problem is even worst.

Finally, you can conclude that YES, oil prices will affect the consumer electronics market indirectly (spending power) and directly (related cost of materials).

well ur product is a bit strange cos value driven process as i knw it means how much alue is added to the product at each stage of the process and i dont think there are any stages in manufacturing sim cards its the chip and packaging

so i wud advise u to ask comapny how do dey add value to there product like by better packaging,etc
u just go thru the value chain so u will be able to interpret the ans and ask better questions

well ur product is a bit strange cos value driven process as i knw it means how much alue is added to the product at each stage of the process and i dont think there are any stages in manufacturing sim cards its the chip and packaging

so i wud advise u to ask comapny how do dey add value to there product like by better packaging,etc
u just go thru the value chain so u will be able to interpret the ans and ask better questions

well my product is mobile services....
how, why and on what basis various companies like bharti(airtel).idea,reliance n all are adding value to their product...?????
as in how they are doing their market survey to assess as to what are the customer needs, what will satisfy their needs with the cost efficiency,etc?
then how are they creating a value?
then the process of providing it and then communicating....
this is what our project is all about....

well they wud have appointed mr team u may see frequently u see phone calls wat do u think of the service etc etc dat helps dem to keep a check whether the customers are happy or not
and wat customers expect is know by there responses to tat they study characterisitcs of that population like indian mentality is ver y much influenced by price lke dat they try diff strategies not necessarily al come good they try to play with there thinking

dis all data is not easily available u need to work hard visit hr offices and try to remove info dis all info is very personal and no company will disclose so u need to get in touch with an HR professional he will help u out best in it

i would say just that tere is a lot of difference example of J P morgan it gives over here to bms graduates arnd 11-20K if its given in foreign they wud laugh at it

Kingfisher Airlines parent company United Breweries Group's acquired 26% of Air Deccan parent Deccan Aviation (ATWOnline, June 1), including, that the promised offer to acquire an additional 20% of Deccan will be priced at the same INR155 ($3.82) per share. The initial stake cost UBG INR5.46 billion. UBG will be the largest shareholder in Deccan and will nominate three directors to the 12-member board. The combined fleet of 71 A320 family and ATR aircraft will operate 537 flights to 69 Indian cities, "whilst taking advantage of unparalleled synergy benefits arising from a common fleet of aircraft," according to Kingfisher. "For the near future, Kingfisher will continue to serve the corporate and business travel segment while Air Deccan will focus on serving the low-fare segment, but with improved financial prospects for both carriers," Kingfisher said. Speaking to reporters yesterday, UB Group head Vijay Mallya said there were no plans to launch an IPO "at this stage" and that UBG would have no problem funding the acquisition.

In October 2007, Air Deccan as a planned makeover after the acquisition was renamed as Deccan with is tagline "The Choice is Simple" based on its previous famous tag line 'Simplifly'. The old logo of hands has been replaced by the Kingfisher logo and the font of Kingfisher is also being used. The old colors of yellow and blue have been replaced by Kingfisher Airlines's red and white to give a 'premium' look and feel.[8] The check-in counters at airports as well as the crew uniform, will now have the same red and white colors. The new look airline is also promising excellent excellence in timely performance,Wider Network and " Little Delights all the way ". "Check-in staff will no longer be outsourced but the service will be managed by airline employees. This will increase accountability and improve service delivery," Mr Mallya, who has also said the airline will slowly replace the old ATR 42 aircraft and the ageing A320 planes, and replace them with entirely new aircraft.[9] There is also an expected change in the schedule of the airlines to match that of Kingfisher Airlines.

According to agencyfaqs.com, the re-branding is expected to cost around Rs 15 crore (approx. $3.8m). It is also speculated that MarketGate Consulting Pvt. was involved in the re-branding process.
