The adage "Justice delayed is Justice denied" is how far true today? We have a long pending cases in Indian courts(1 million in lower courts,1 lakh in High courts and about 30,000 in Supreme court).
Aren't we providing justice to the above 1 million cases? There are couple of cases in India where justice was given after 10 yrs.Recently, there was a civil case that was running for 50yrs.Recently,we have given judgement on Mumbai bomb blast case to Sanjuy Dutt and a couple of other persons.Even coimbator blast case also concluded some days back.
I agree that justice has to given in due time but delaying doen't mean that it is denied. It takes a lot of time in the Govt offices to get the job done but it doesn't mean that they aren't working.
so now,how far this adage "Justice delayed is Justice denied" true?

well deepak I really agree with the statement that "justice delayed is justice denied" simply because its no point giving punishment when the wrong deeds have already done years back and within those many years how much amt. of money they have made.........it wont set a point to the terrorists also as they feel tht the Indian govt. will do it "aaram se" .....so no tension.....and if we compare the functioning of the Indian officials with the counterparts at US or UK....they are more alert with the terror n security....n can come out with quick analysis......not like us where 1991 blast case has just been finally completely heard n tht too after almost 16-17 years later...........heightness of slowness!!!!!!!!
God I just pray tht the recent bomb blast in Mumbai doesnt take tht long to finish hearing n sentencing the culprits. or within tht time another series of blasts can take place.......:fear:

i agree with u justice delayed is justice denied
i thinks this shud be like dat
Justice Denied meets Justice Delayed
well it will take more than 300 years to clear the backlog of cases in Indian courts is proof enough that our criminal justice system is sick, stagnant and in urgent need of a complete overhaul

Even i feel, justice delayed is justice denied.. Once there was a case in a newspaper that a person in a village had filed a case on someone with regards to property issues, after 12 years when the case was solved and the person had actually won the case, he was already dead...
So whats the point, all his life he waited for justice to happen, and he had to die still waiting for justice..
Hence, I feel more fast track courts should be introduced, this can be good solution
As we have always seen in films and serials, that one of the easiest way to escape punishment is, to adjourn the court and postpone the hearing.. So this should be avoided...

i agree with ur statement...but dere is 1 thing also which u r not looking at.....which is judiciary is the only pillar left in this country which is not corrupt at all....so time is required to pass correct judgments...n dont forget in India ny 1 is not guilty until proved....
