recently there was a news that govt. is trying to pass a bill by which it will decide what is to be shown on the news channels and what not to show.
friends its a direct attack on the freedom on press, thats what i think, what do you think about it?

i feel that is not a bad idea because these news channels have a habit of showing past pictures again and again and because of which ppl dont get a clear idea about what is exactly happening at that period time

I feel the bill should not be passed. But then there are some issues which need to be checked also. These include the content on some channels which are obscene and need to be controlled. A TV with child-lock can control but only upto a certain limit. Also some news are shown in such a manner that its too tardy to watch it again n again on all news channels for the whole day.

Remember one thing : " You have the freedom to do anything but be careful that it does not interfere with the freedom of others."

ITS BETTER THT IF THE GOVT PUTS A BAN ON THE DAILY SOAPS WCH LONG FOR YEARS N YEARS N ALSO KEEP STRETCHING THEIR SERIALS JUS FOR INCREASING THEIR TRP's SO ITS WUD BE A BETTER OPTION THAN BANNING THM RATHER THAN BANNING NEWS CONTENT N KEEPING A CHK OVER IT.....
PERHAPS TODAY EVEN NEWS CHANNELS HAV STARTED GIVING UPDATES OF THESE DAILY SOAPS N HAV BEEN EMPHASIZING MORE ON D FILM N TELEVISION INDUSTRY THAN D REAL LIFE ISSUES.....
