Will you feel guilty to evade the tax?

On moral grounds,Are you happy to pay the tax every year?I agree that being a citizen of a country itz one of the most important duty to pay tax regurlarly.But the tax money must go to the welfare of the people.But it is nt happening in our country.Instead the money is gng to politicans' pockets money.So why should we earn and pay for other's pocket money?

So on moral grounds due you feel guilty to evade the tax?

Tats a very nice question Deepak!!! The tax we are paying are not being used to their full extent..We are paying an educational Cess of 3% and it is obvious that if the 3% Edn.Cess was used for the benefit of Rural Schools,There would not be 23000 Schools with no student in them !!! and Despite this there are many Government schools who get extra funds & resources from other NGO's!! And with the new coming of SEZ's in India, is it not unfair to waive the taxes for these IT based and other MNC's???They choose India for their benefits and not merely for our development!!! The SMEs' is the Government's Target!! With their meager Turnovers, they also fall prey to the different taxes prevalent here!!! and even if we have paid all the taxes and duties perfectly,sometimes the Sales Tax Department will find some mistake or the other!!!and we have to pay a fine!!! There is every reason for us to feel bad about paying taxes in those instances, but that doesn't mean we have to refrain ourselves from paying them..Then there is no difference Between Politicians and us.!!!! and we will feel guilty for evading the taxes if we are being true to our self!!! and I found a good joke on Different Taxes!!Hope u'd all Enjoy

O God, give me strength and capacity to pay
Income tax, CAT, CST, Service Tax, Excise Duty, Octroi, TDS, ESI, PF, Property Tax, Road Tax, Stamp Duties, CGT, Water Tax, Professional Tax, Education Cess, Congestion Levy, and many more, besides Goonda Hafta, Bribes and chandas to Politicians etc., of course to beggars, and then if we have time and money left after that we will do some business.
O God please take care of all."

Well 4 a business 2 b ethical its obvious 2 pay tax bt wid prevailin conditions many ppl get away widout payin dem n its not one group bt many from various sectors & fields!
Being a good citizen id pay my taxs promotly as its my duty 2 do dat & those who dnt pay it im sure hv many sleepless nites thnkin bout havin a income tax raid or somethin n thn der few who probably dnt feel da guilt 2!! N god alone give dem some blessings & sense of responsibilty towards our country n societ at large!

Yes i will feel guilty, but would like to save as much as possible. Because it killing for salary class. Their are lot of way outs for Others. And it is not been utilized properly

if everyone would pay their taxes it wouldn't be a problem for me. but in our country many people evade tax and if i pay may taxes i feel like a fool :(

not at all especially if i know that my tax is not gonna be utilized properly then i wudnt at all feel guilty of evading it...........

but the day i feel tht my tax paid is being used somewher for the good then i wont mind paying tax how much ever they say.........

I will off course give tax as its our duty as a citizen of India.......... I will not feel guilty after paying tax......... though govt uses it in right way or not..... But I would think as I am helping my nation........

But I would like to go my money in proper hands........ It is very difficult though in today's scenario... :maddy:

I fully agree with your views…even I feel the same.
In a country like us, which is still in developing stage …each and every citizen should contribute in its development. Each individual can only contribute if he /she pay’s the full tax. But yes, the tax so collected must be used for development of the country and not for benefit of few individuals (politicians).

I would feel guilty for sure.. My contribution to the economy needs to be ensured from my end.. Where it gets utilized is a job of those who we have hired for the same..

see, it depends on who and what you are. I believe mostly people at the top do NOT feel guilty to do the same as is very apparant in india. See Administrative service people, businessman? Whats their main aim? Maximize profits. And how? Any way, by hook or by crook.
