hi...
According to me, a fit person is more preferable...but i would like to ask that is any way looks give competition to knowledge...i mean mind is necessary or looks for doing jobs in the organisation....

looks are certainly not imp for performing any work in any org except in the field of film industry looks do count for the job but we hav to be fit so there will be no problem in doing any kind of work

if u think health and looks doesnt matter then y r these service industries looking out for slim ppl.

alrite... i'd say it matters 2 an individual's self esteem sometimes... Not that bein thin is ok or bein fat is wen it comes 2 work one has 2 b able 2 give da job one's best performance n that needs one 2 b physically fit!
And just 4 boostin one's self confidence n self esteem its always preferable 2 keep a check on ur health n b fit not 2 thin not 2 fat!

Fit people are usually preferred in Aviation, defense etc whereas in Glamor world slim and trim people r preferred.. so u can see that it totaly depends on industry to industry. well i personally prefer fit people..so what if they r fat or slim as far as they deliver.
Again that depends on person to person, how ur physique affect ur self esteem..
A good builder may have more of self esteem bcause Gals do have crush on Builders..A thin person may feel low when he sees any such person. And the same is the case with the Fat people...
Well 1 should not b worried abt the looks but how he persents to others..
Looks dosent matter (if not in Glam world)... Ur persentation Speaks more abt u.....

In today's competitive world, people who look beyond Fat, Thin or Fit are the people who will survive..... As long as one can do what one is supposed to do, body weight or looks dont matter much....

yes ofcourse if you are fit u tend to work better... being fat doen't mean that one is lazy or being thin that u are weak. but being fit reflects your personna but at the same time if you are fit and you don't have the zeal to work and the communication is not up to the mark being fit or not fit doesn't matter..... today in corporate world one need to have good communication skills...... and should be able to create an impact on the people.

Today it has become common to look thin, ultra thin i would call it,i am a teacher myself i see students going to extremes to make themselves look beautiful and beauty is being thin for them,Most of them try it out,not a healthy trend i would say and the people who are fat,yes to an extent it does affect their self esteem:) ask me,it took me lot of time to come to terms that i am chubby and that i am fit and i can do my job perfectly, once that came to my mind it helped me and i am happy today, dosnt matter if i am chubby or ultra thin,i am able to FIT into my job perfectly, able to handle it well or not is what matters to me the most.

Looks matter most of the time depending on the job...And most of including me who are average and bellow average are concerned about it..And this is a widely know fact that a person less efficient but fit catches attention more than his colleague with same skill levels...So Being fit is important.
