Today there was a news in paper that,

one carpenter of Ahemdabad found Rs. 59.3 crores in his SB A/c. insted 2.3 Laks..!! but honestly he informed the PNB (Punjab National Bank) bank & returned the amount..

What would you do in such situation...would you return it? why? & why not?

Yes I would have returned the money as getting money on a lottery or some kind of other lucky situation is fine but as it is clearly evident in this case, it was nothing more than probably a technical glitch and I would not prefer to keep something which I don't deserve(infact, something which is just virtually there).

:shocked:hmmm..... to be really frank i would not like to return tht huge amount but the truth is tht if i was in the same situatn thn i would have return it not becoz ill thn tht it due to mistake or sumthng else but bcoz :noidea:if i didnt return it at tht time thn they would totaly blame me for tht and ask me doz of qustn thn beeter to be away from all this probs i would decide to return tht money instead of keeping it with me and facing lots of probss!!!!!!!!

Banks realize their mistakes eventually. Its better to return the money yourself than get into the routine of legal notices etc.

May be the man want to avoid the harassment as the bank must take money back when they found this kind of mismatch....

It has obiviously happened due to some technical mistake, i would surely intimate the bank authorities, rather than getting into legal problems later, because of money desire!
