They both different perspective and different command in status. Imagine your housewives mom and your working wife or girfriend they both play an important role in your life.
There is no comparision in both of them....

Sounds great being at home raising kids but today's society is different, more mothers are working more then ever before. Many women wish to do the stay at home mom thing but the working mom is the latest trend. Your kids mature faster, and your family income is greatly increased when both parents are working.

I have friends who have had working mothers and friends who had stay-at-home moms. They all turned out ok. I would say that, in order to be a good working mother, you have to have a goods work/life balance and enough money to pay for decent childcare.

Well I think good mother cannot be identified or measured on the crieteria that whether she is working or not. In todays world women is liberal and should remain liberal they also want an interaction with outer world and society which cannot be done at best as a housewife. I does not affect at all if the world is working she will not be a good mother and if she is housewife then also its not guarrented that she will be a good mother.

SO measuring women on her work status for the question like she is good mother or not is a meaningless. Every mother loves her child and we should not put up questions on her love for children for only one thing THAT SHE IS A WORKING WOMEN...................

I think a helpful & understanding partner makes a big difference regardless whether you work or a stay at home person.

I've seen some terrible child rearing by stay at home parents and vice versa.
It's tough no matter what.

But then again, I don't have kids.

The one who can provide the basic amenities and spends quality time....it doesn't matter if she is a working woman or a house wife...A housewife can too be not present when her child needs her.. she can just gossip with her neighbours or sumthin like that..

this is a bit difficult to answer, because it purely depends on that particular individual. even if she works, she can manage her household and kids, and if she is a housewife, then also she can help her out in family, sometimes housewives fail to take care of her family or children because she lacks knowledge or exposure which a working lady normally has.

I think remaining active is more important rather than debating whether one should have a job or not. Even if one is a housewife and doesn't have a full time job, still I feel one should be involved in some activity like social work, or some art or craft, something to keep you developing into a better human being and not become a couch potato only watching those stupid sitcoms.

Working mother now days have many options to balance there work and personnel life.
Working mother scores above the housewife in a point that she can guide her children with the latest developments in the world which she comes across daily. Kids of a working women are much more independent and they are able to face the world with lot of confidence.

But last but not the least a working lady shoulders a big responsibility in our society to see that she is a good housewife and good mother.

V cannot say who will make a better mother of d 2. There r many examples where both haVE raised their childrens in d right way.

So v should not compare between d these 2. There r other factors like peers which play a very critical role in d upbringing.
