i read abt dis and coudnt help includin dis here as m reallycurious abt wht u ppl hv to say on dis thng......
Do guys have any interest in psychology or reading the minds of other people... Not exactly as in what he is thinking in his mind... But as in understanding how they they react to situations and thereby being able to manipulate them...??
my say: yeah, its nt actually abt interest abt knwingly or unknowingly we read ppls' minds during conversations.... humans r strange beings... but with the help of body language one can trace out things like is d person interested in talkin to u, is he gettin bored,...etc etc..
m waiting for ur views on dis frnzz!!!!!

it does happen with person you are too close with, you can easily read their minds (telepathy)....otherwise also after having a close analysis of ones personality you can guess to a greater extent what will be their reaction to a situation....
my funda is very simple , i put myself at their place & imagine the whole situation as how i would have reacted at taht time!!! it gives me a clue...
the very 1st thought that comes to my mind is more often wat half of the janta reacts but a close introspection gives me the exact reaction which we can get from a mature person....
in all it depends from person to person!!!
take care

ya..telepathy..true does happen many times...so even as u said ur funda....whch means EMPATHY...absolutely correct.....
all dese may also help in better understnding of other people..
.
eye contact – the visual sense is dominant for most people and therefore especially important in nonverbal communication.
facial expression – universal facial expressions signify anger, fear, sadness, joy and disgust.
tone of voice – the sound of the voice conveys moment to moment emotional experience.
posture – the pose, stance and bearing described by the way you sit, slouch, stand, lean, bend, hold and move your bodies in space.
touch – finger pressure, grip and hugs that feel good to you and feel good to the other person.
intensity – a reflection of the amount of energy you project. Are you flat or so cool you seem disinterested, or are you over the top and melodramatic?
this has as much to do with what feels good to the other person as what you personally prefer.
timing and pace – a reflection of the ability to be a good listener and communicate interest and involvement. What happens when someone you care about makes an important statement? Does a response – not necessarily verbal – come too quickly or too slowly? Is there an easy flow of information back and forth?
sounds that convey understanding – sounds such as “ahhh, ummm, ohhh,” uttered with congruent eye and facial gestures, communicate understanding and emotional connection. More than words, these sounds are the language of interest, understanding and compassion. Do you indicate with sincere utterances that you are attending to the other person?
Together these nonverbal signals communicate your interest and investment in others. Critically important is the fact that these elements are experienced much more intensely in the pauses between words.
.........i read abt dese and all dese factors really help more in understnding ppl...d way they stnd, their interest in lissenin to wht we talk, their responses, eye contact...all dese factors speak a lot....

I am into psychology but in very early stages..... mind reading is supposed to be a very advanced step and u have to study psychology for years to come to that level.
Every single human moment tells something.... eg. the person who is waiting for someone and is either playing with his pen, tapping the table or just looking around constantly, is considered too restless.
Mind reading is considered as a very productive exercise esp for HR professionals during finalizing business meetings.

To quote Mr. Parsons here:
I am the eye in the sky, Looking at you,
I can read your mind
I'm the maker of rules, Dealing with fools,
I can cheat you blind....
