Hello everyone,
I have a question about MBA specialization. Before that let me get you a brief info about myself so that you can correctly judge what kind of specialization would be best for me
I am presently pursuing my B.Tech in Computer science and I am in my final year. I have decided that MBA is the best option for me since I have always been driven to entrepreneurship, finance and marketing. The reason I joined engineering is only because my parents compelled and I find coding and all very difficult.
I do internet marketing which includes affiliate marketing and flipping websites. I have also convinced people to give me job through sites like rent a coder for search engine optimization (I have 1 year experience in SEO). I have made close to 50,000INR from the internet in about 5 months and I feel that I should enter the corporate world to be more productive and learn more things with hands on experience.
I also have experience in conducting events in my college and presently I am the placement coordinator of my college.
I read books like outlook business, and other business magazines and blogs. I am very much interested in business and hence I would like your guidance.
Now that you have a little bit knowledge about my profile, let me elaborate. I am looking to go for an MBA which will suit my tastes. I am looking at MBA in either finance or marketing or any other field which would help me out.
Could you suggest me the best ones?
1. I am ready to learn new things.
2. I am willing to dedicate hours together for things that really interests me. (I have spent close to 18 hours designing a website continuously).
3. I like to be successful in the sense that my profit should always be in terms of money, satisfaction and increase in position of power. It should always be a combination of at least two functions minimum.
I am looking forward to expert guidance from this community.
Thanks and regards
Adarsh

I'd advocate for a General MBA as it exposes you to a broader spectrum of subject areas including Marketing Management and Strategy. It would also make you more versatile.

hi adarsh, i guess you've got the answer already... MBA in Marketing, given your past experience in that field.. If you wish to, you can enroll for some new specializations which was not available earlier (check the specializations offered by B-schools where you are planning to do your MBA from). You may opt for dual specialization i.e. Marketing as well as something else.

Dude I guess you need to figure out why MBA.. just because you want to become an entrepreneur, doesnt mean you are inclined for an MBA. Please do research on the opportunities after an MBA and the benefits of pursuing an MBA degree

I think You can opt for both job and further study by taking up job and along with that you can join any part time course or online course.... And finally the last decision is yours...
