as india is growing fast , to sustain its development , it is in mandatory to have good network & efficient system of railway. At the same time the pleasure of travelling has to be maintain to foster more business travelling. all this cus be possible by better management, that in turns leads toward privatisation. cause to expand the railway huge financial support is require tat is possible by making it a partiall private comapny. having its stocks.

Indian railways cannot be privatised. The infrastructure is so huge that it cannot be shared as it is being done in case of airlines.

privatising indian railways might give rise to a new problem. as we all know that private companies are profit oriented and hence they might increase the fares neglecting the social oriented concept which is followed by govt organizations.

railway is now profitable but still better management is required but this does not mean that it should be privatized.... you can always go for outsourcing some of the main processes like maintenance of trains & also stations can be taken care by some private firms....

By making the railwys privatised, it would be better as privatised companies would give better amenities to the public than what the government is giving...
The priv companies want customers at any cost, so they do their best to find innovative ways to lure customers .....

Yes. I think Indian Railways should be privatized in:SugarwareZ-230:spite of the fact that it is now a profit making industry. But if we compare our railways to some other countries in the world they still leave a lot to desired. Given the fact that India is a much bigger country. But that should not serve as an excuse. Also if private vendors come in they get the moolah too....

By privatisation we can expect quality customer service in comparision from the Govt employees...

I have only one fear with Privatizing Indian Railways. The most common mode of transport used extensively by the poor and the rich together after landing into the capital hands will be only profit centric and day by day the poor will have to pay more for the increased facilities at added costs, which will be a bane for the country's rich and poor divide.

hiiiii all
i strongly feel that Indian Railway should not be Privatised?
How can we belive in Privatisation?
Indian Railway is the life line of india, one of the largest rly board of the world and also the largest job providing board of the world.
Yes we might be think abt if we do privatise of the Railway, it will add value to its customer by providing better service with better utilisation of manpower. But friend do u really belive that this can not be possible through Govt. Take some instances Before Lalu Yadav it was a loss making concern, but now it a huge profit making concern. So do u think Laluji do the magic? He just put some general common sense (like by adding more goods train, more good wagon etc) If a leader like Laluji do the magic, then think there was severe mismanagement in the Board. So a Visionary Leader must be our Rly Minister, who must have personal interest to develop the Railway.
About service to the customer and claniliness its not a big deal to sort out. I think in future it must have International standard. Just wait and see how Indian Railway going to be an examplary to the whole world. Then at that time we can proudly say yaar its our "Indian Railway"

na it should not be privatised as it would not be in favour or common masses as for privatising indian railways might give rise to a new problem. Yes there is a need of improvement in lot of areas but it doesn't mean that it should be privatised as private firms are profit oriented .
