Globalization has its ups and downs, the upside is that it allows freetrade among countries. The downside is that the country has options to import products which result to the further competition with the businesses in that country

If you don't have bread , eat cake! If you don't have drinking water, drink coke or Pepsi! This has become the norm in the present era of globalisation. Globalisation is the expansion of economic activities across political boundaries of nation states. Every coin has two facets, so is the case with globalisation.
The case discusses the impact of globalization on developed and developing countries. It discusses the unequal distribution of economies and the impact of globalization on manpower. Besides, it takes a look at the increase in job losses in different countries around the world.
Issues

» How globalization has increased the gap between rich and poor countries.
» How reduced barriers created opportunities only for the skilled workers.
» The need for proper implementation of globalization.
Globalization which implies a shift towards more integrated and interdependent world has long been an issue of debate among countries. Globalization according to some economists is important and inevitable for the economic development of the world.
But others feel that it is a threat to employment. Environmentalists fear globalization would result in deterioration in the environment and increase pollution. The talks in the Uruguay round (1986-1994) resulted in the formation of World Trade Organization (WTO), which brought down many international trade barriers.

WTO came into existence after amalgamation of GATT and other trade promotion groups. The WTO is the chief arbitrator, which deals in trade related disputes between countries and has contributed to the acceleration of globalization.
We all are happy observing that the world is being globalised and we all are moving towards the more developed lives. But should we really rejoice for that? By this globalization we have got the luxurious life but do we all enjoy it equally? No, our constitution is deteriorating because the poor are becoming poorer and rich are richer. This is the time when everyone has the lust to be richer whether it is needed or not. Necessity is become the subjective word. The line of demarcation between necessity and luxury has been vanished. As a consequence of this, our political system and economy both are shivering and are about to collapse.
The globalization in the present era has picked up the pace noticeably in the past 50 years. It is in process since the Second World War resulting chiefly due to planning by economists, politicians and business interests. Its major impact is seen on the following areas:
1. Market of commodities and services
2. Pace of technological development

3. Capital inflow and outflow

4. Labor immigration rate
advantages
These are the basic four factors of an economy, which are affected by globalization and to see the impact in detail let us have a view at the positive aspects of globalization.
Positive aspects of globalization or globalization - a boon
1. Impact on industrial areas: the worldwide production of the globe is effected as a whole. As there is no physical barrier the exchange of goods and services becomes easier reason being the world is treated as a global village. No particular global boundaries exist making the trade even more profitable.
2. Change in economic aspect: the economy is affected by globalization to a great extent as it makes a lot of profit, reason being a common ground of exchange of goods and services is provided to them.
3. Political advantage of globalization: globalization tends to create a world government, which has a much wider scope as compared to local, state or national governments. It gives the citizens social and economic rights which are a result of globalization.
4. Affects of globalization on cultural factors: a strong impact on standard of living, level of consciousness, and behavior pattern is noticed at the time when globalization infuses in a country.
5. Change in technical scenario due to globalization: improvement in telecommunication techniques, data-flow etc. boosts up with the advent of globalization.
And many more to pen

disadvantages
Although globalization serves as a boon for the world but one must never forget that every painkiller has a side effect, and so does globalization has. It is definitely a boon for the development of the globe but it has a few disadvantages which cannot be ignored. Some of the ill-effects of globalization are listed as under:

Developed nations have outsourced manufacturing and white collar jobs. That means less jobs for their people. This has happened because manufacturing work is outsourced to developing nations like China where the cost of manufacturing goods and wages are lower.
Globalization has led to exploitation of labor. Prisoners and child workers are used to work in inhumane conditions. Safety standards are ignored to produce cheap goods.
Increased job competition has led to reduction in wages and consequently lower standards of living.
Terrorists have access to sophisticated weapons enhancing their ability to inflict damage. Terrorists use the Internet for communicating among themselves.
Companies have set up industries causing pollution in countries with poor regulation of pollution.

The benefits of globalization is not universal. The rich are getting richer and the poor are becoming poorer.
1. Bad aspects of foreign cultures are affecting the local culture.

2. Enemy nations can spread propaganda through the Internet.

3. Deadly diseases like HIV/AIDS are being spread by travellers to the remotest corners of the globe.
4. Local industries are being taken over by foreign multinationals.

5. The increase in prices has reduced the governments ability to sustain social welfare schemes in developed countries.

6. There is increase in human trafficking.

7. Multinatonal Companies and corporations which were previously restricted to commercial activities are increasingly influencing political decisions.

The low cost of offshore workers have enticed corporations to buy goods and services from foreign countries. The laid off manufacturing sector workers are forced into the service sector where wages and benefits are low, but turnover is high.
The countries which are poorer becomes poor and countries which are rich becomes more rich. small and poor countries mostly have the agriculture as the main exports and this due to globalization lowers the price of the crops

conclusion
The effect of Globalisation has a two way effect the world id becoming flat
but the sad part is its not only for good people like bin laden are also having the same advantage which is the dark side of globalisation .........but theres always a vice versa ...if we dont have a problem it would have been so easy......

everyone might have have heard tht everything done in limits is most of the times gud but when the limits r crossed then the negativity increases. Same is the case with Globalisation. it's gud for the growth of the nations upto certain extent but after tht the resources start getting exploited by the developed nations

I feel that globalization is good for our country as it pushes us to be more innovative, so that we become more advanced and raise our standard of living as compared with other countries through competition. Globalization has a simple philosophy hidden in it i.e. life is a challenge, you win some you lose some but ultimately you learn and become better. I think the country that thinks globalization is a bane is hiding its inability to manage the country and their people should work harder with unity to overcome their weaknesses. A good example is how Germany has risen from the ashes of 2nd world war. We can't let mismanagement come in the way of development, quality and standard of living, can we?

Globalisation is off course a boon, as it promotes the optimum and most efficient use of resources. It offers for an customer centered and community centric market.'
But this is only possible in the presence of a Global Economy as well. If there is competition among economies and not among manufacturers or seller then it will not fulfill the cause..

Every side has two story and here too it has embedded both the factor. Globalisation increases employment rate but, entrepreneurship and small scale industries are overshadow by them . They have resources and capital to advertise and visibility of their brand is high well, small scale industry lacks in capital get disappear from the market.

It has cleared that globalization is essential for the countries which are still developing. It is generally the trade of technology, products and services, ides with other nations for the development. It has some bad influences also like pollution, climate change, cyber crimes are increasing.
