i think u have to post more replies so that u have enough authority to download complete file.
It happens sometime, the file is not downloaded completely and u are not able to open the file though u have downloaded it.
So match the size of ur downloaded file with the uploaded file....if it is same it will open and if not; the MS office will prompt some error and will be unable to open the file.
