Australia called commonwealth of Australia comprises of Australian continent, Island of Tasmania and many other smaller islands. It is neighboured by New Zealand to the south-east and Solomon Islands to the north-east.

Education in Australia - is looked after by the territories and states. It is the lookout of each state and territory to provide schools and universities in their region. In general education in Australia is three staged primary, secondary and tertiary i.e. Universities, Vocation education and TAFE colleges. Education is compulsory for the age group of five to fifteen.

The provider of higher education be recognized the law of Australian government and must be registered by state and territory governments. Here academic year normally starts from January or February and concludes in mid December. Regarding higher education there are around forty one universities out of which thirty seven are public institutes, whereas two are private. Higher education is also backed by three self accrediting institutions and two branches of overseas universities. Non-self-accrediting higher education providers conduct courses in information technology, business management, hospitality, law, accounting and natural therapies.

Those interested in making a career in management can go for an Australian management degree since Australian B schools keep a high standard as compared to its neighbouring countries. These institutes provide degree course in MBA which is recognized throughout the world. One can rate the Australian college or University on the basis of location, subjects offered, cost of education, exposure to affiliated universities and practical training.
