To look and stay fit is emerging as a global trend across the youths in various cities, states and countries. With the increasing foreigners and tourists in Dubai, their mindset of healthy living and staying fit has become a part of Dubai too now. This mindset has resulted in the opening of various gyms in Dubai and also various gyms have opened up in al ain hotels.

With all these speculation and demand for gymming and going to the gyms, we got more curious about knowing what all the fuss was about and to more about these gyms ad their functioning, we looked deeper into two affordable and famous gyms in Dubai.

Colosseum Gym in Karama is best for Martial arts enthusiasts and the unique thing about it is that it is Seven years old, Colosseum is a great spot for those who love Muay Thai – the gym has two Thai instructors on hand and offers 20 classes a week. It is also considered as a good option for swimmers, with a 15 metre outdoor pool. The equipment offered at the Colosseum makes it one of the finest gyms in Dubai. The gym offers resistance machines by Paramount and cardio machines from Lite Fitness, as well as a boxing ring, swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. You can also opt to pay 410 dirhams per month just for the martial arts classes that are conducted out there on regular basis.

Pullaman Hotel Gym in the Mall of Emirates is a new gym which is a little more expensive than the other options, but it's also that much swankier. Featuring high-tech equipment (you can plug in your iPod or iPhone and play movies and music from them on your personal TV), this spot also boasts beautiful panoramic views of Dubai. The sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room are of five-star spa quality – great for winding down post-workout. Most of the equipment offered out here is Technogym, although there are also Vibra-Plate machines as well as the Kinesis, a full-body machine featuring a stretchable band, allowing fluid movements. A one month membership costs Dhs 600, three months is Dhs 1,400 and six months Dhs 2,200.

VIP Gym in Satwa is one of its unique kind, the one which is always full of lads talking or obsessing over their triceps and biceps. There's 465 sq m of floorspace featuring 100 weight machines, as well as cardio equipment from Body Solid and Matrix. They mindfully, offer separate changing rooms for men and women and also have TV with various sports channels always on loop. You can enroll yourself as a member of the gym by signing up and paying 2400 Dirhams for a year. There is no joining fees or deposit to be maintained. On payment a membership card and receipt will be provided to you.

When talks about gyms are on, one cannot tend to miss on the Al Ain hotels which offer such special gymming services for their visitors and guests living in these hotels too. Most hotels in Dubai offer such services as well.
