The marketing research of about 2 months revolves wholly around getting to know the image of one big organization Indiacom Ltd yellow pages.
The first day I went to company, our General Manager had given brief introduction about the company & products. I started with getting to know what product are being provided by the company and gaining knowledge of each and every aspect of that product in details like their advantage, disadvantage, charges they accrued etc. I have selected one topic "To study Business Potential of various businesses in PCMC area" which topic will get benefited to company & for general public.
In two months I approached 439 customers out of 210 whom agreed to be helpful, 60 didn’t agree to provide information, they said that it’s an against company policy. 169 said that their owner are not present currently, so they didn’t agree for providing information. I took my sample size as 210. The method was direct interview of customers. Customers were the primary source but it was also company guide which proved to be helpful and acted as secondary source in the study.
I selected this topic because it involves different kind of experiences related with market and current business situation. I come to know the customer wants customer behavior, customer awareness, customer satisfaction tools and techniques, reasons of customer dissatisfaction etc, through this project. This gives me very good and deep experience about the market.
Some fun on Field..
1). When i was entered in some offices at that time, they were saying no we dont want to give any information
regarding company. But i was trying to find the problems of that particular company & then some companies agreed for providing information. So retaining information from them, i feel that that's what i called marketing yodha.
2). I had tea & breakfast with some entrepreneurs & fun also. Because of that i came to know that how corporate runs.
3). When i was giving my company introduction at other companies, many people laughing on me & that was the situation through which my confident increased.
4). Through this summer interns i have learned the actual market.
