    WRITING OF CV

                                                       IMPORTANCE OF THE CURRICULAM VITTAE

While applying for a job or for the change of to some other company, one document which is of immense importance is the CV(Curriculum Vitae) or Resume.

CV or Resume are more like the same thing, only that the Resume, is appropriate for an Educational or Research oriented job, and preferred better than the CV.

However CV or Resume is the ones own PROMOTIONAL AID OR THE VISUAL AID that one puts before the recruiter to decide whether to select the applicant and call for the Interview, for the particular job or to  skip.

A well written CV does not guarantee a job but definitely provides the applicant the opportunity to present oneself before the recruiter and prove that the company shall be benefited by the services and the skills of the applicant if selected, shall be in the interest of the company.

In the present times of competition it has become even more difficult to carve a niche of a CV so that it stands apart amongst the many applications tendered.

At present in majority of the cases the application are sent online, and the recruiter sits on the computer to finalize or shortlist the candidates, and thus it becomes more important for the CV to be presented in a way, that it attracts the attention of the recruiter.

On an average a recruiter or the person who shortlists the applications, spends 30 to 60 seconds per application, as per the parameters set for the post applied for, hence it becomes evermore competitive for the applicant to present the CV or Resume.

Within this short period one has to provide the relevant details in relation to the job, with the required information that the recruiter is looking for, and to generate enough interest, so as decide and call for an interview or select the candidate.

There isn't any set rule or pattern for writing the CV or Resume and May even change as per the requirement of the particular company.

But in general the writing should be like it gives the recruiter the impression at the first glance of the CV, that this applicant will definitely be worth a try for an interview.

The one rule that applies always is that the CV has to be in a simple language so that one can easily understand.

Let the CV be precise and provide the concise information that the recruiter is looking for.

Make the CV short and to the point, and the factual information which can be verified by the recruiter anytime.
